Red flag warning – Santa Ana winds
The National Weather Service says the Santa Ana winds, in combination with the very low humidity, is creating extreme fire danger conditions.

A red flag warning is in effect until 6 p.m. for the Santa Clarita Valley (including Newhall), the Santa Monica Mountains Recreation area and the Los Angeles County mountains (Angeles National Forest).

A red flag warning expires at 4 p.m. for the valleys of the Inland Empire and the Santa Ana Mountains and foothills.

Peak gusts of 40-50 mph are possible, and humidity is expected to drop below 10 percent.
